UX / UI / CSS

I am former co-founder of mRelief which connects individuals and families to social services in Chicago, and now all around the country. On a powerhouse team with 2 other women, the design goal was for high accessibility with immediate results for users. The average wait time to see if you even qualify for services is 2-6 hours, people who are in need don't have time to waste; which is where mRelief comes in.

Upon my departure from the team, we had hundreds of users who were able to qualify for city services! The following are past designs that were built before I left the team and they were accepted to Y Combinator.

To speed up the screening process, we built the ability to fill out the qualification from through text. Since a majority of the population qualifying to city services are in poverty we wanted the product to be accessible to everyone, even non-smart phone owners.

Knowledge is power, so even if a user did not qualify for a program we would provide them with ways to gather more information.
